This API is available on Firefox or Firefox OS for installed or higher privileged applications.

Summary

The seekDown method is used to tell the radio to seek down to the next radio channel. The search circles back to upper frequencies when the lowest frequency has been reached.

If the frequency is successfully changed, the frequencychange event is triggered.

Only one seek is allowed at a time: If the radio is already seeking when seekDown is called the request will fail.

Syntax

var request = instanceOfFMRadio.seekDown();

Returns

It returns a DOMRequest to handle the success or error of the operation.

Example

var request = navigator.mozFMRadio.seekDown();

request.onsuccess = function () {
  console.log("Searching...");
}
request.onerror = function () {
  console.log("I guess we are already seeking.");
}

Specification

Not part of any specification.
