This API is available on Firefox OS for privileged or certified applications only.

Summary

The onShutter property is used to set an event handler for the camera's "shutter" event, to trigger a shutter sound and/or a visual shutter indicator.

Syntax

instanceOfCameraControl.onShutter = funcRef;

Where funcRef is a function to be called when the camera shutter is down.

Example

var options = {
  camera: navigator.mozCameras.getListOfCameras()[0]
};
function onSuccess( camera ) {
  camera.onShutter = function () {
    console.log("The camera is now turned off.");
  }
};
navigator.mozCameras.getCamera(options, onSuccess)

Specification

Not part of any specification; however, this API should be removed when the WebRTC Capture and Stream API has been implemented.
