LENGTH

The LENGTH functions return the length of a text expression.

• LENGTH counts the number of characters.

• LENGTHB uses bytes instead of characters.

• LENGTHC uses Unicode complete characters.

char is any text expression.

Example

LENGTH('CANDIDE') returns the value 7.
