This API is available on Firefox OS for internal applications only.

Summary

The DOM MozSmsMessage object represents an SMS text message and has all the information about sender, recipient, body text and date of the message itself.

Properties

 
MozSmsMessage.type Read only
A string with the value sms.
MozSmsMessage.id Read only
Returns a number representing the id of the message.
MozSmsMessage.threadId Read only
Returns a number representing the id of the thread the message is part of.
MozSmsMessage.body Read only
Returns a DOMString with text of the message.
MozSmsMessage.delivery Read only
Returns a DOMString which represents the state of the message delivery on the device point of view
MozSmsMessage.deliveryStatus Read only
Returns a DOMString which represents the state of the message delivery on the receiver point of view
MozSmsMessage.read Read only
Returns a Boolean indicating whether a message is read or unread.
MozSmsMessage.receiver Read only
Returns a DOMString with the name of the receiver.
MozSmsMessage.sender Read only
Returns a DOMString with the name of the sender.
MozSmsMessage.timestamp Read only
Returns a Date object with the timestamp of the message.
MozSmsMessage.messageClass Read only
Returns a DOMString which can either be normal, class-0, class-1, class-2, or class-3.

Specifications

This is a non standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
